Philip often attends and organises various meetings and events, visits and supports local community, charities, local businesses and business associations in the consittuency. Some meetings, events and visits take place in Parliament. He does all this to ensure he is well informed about what is going on in the Shipley Constituency and that he knows and understands the issues concerning his local area and as well as nationally at all times. He always tries to ensure that he is providing the best service possible. He has been a receiver of various awards for recognition of his work. He has been a brilliant advocate for his constituents.
