AN MP was treated to a look around a newly opened community venture aimed at improving health and wellbeing in the area.
MP Philip Davies visited The Activity Den, in Well Croft, Shipley to hear all about the work being done to benefit the local community.
The centre opened in September and hosts various classes, sessions and workshops around health, fitness, and wellbeing.
Co-founders Kimberley Grillo and Heather Scroggins originally planned to use the space as a venue for their respective dance classes but soon decided they wanted the space to benefit the wider community and believed they could offer more.
The Shipley MP said: “It is a great space and I know so many people across the area will use it and benefit from the services on offer. It was clear talking to Kimberley how committed they are to helping people and using creative arts as a way of expression to support physical and emotional wellbeing.
“I also enjoyed a private music lesson with the talented Head of Music and Production Nigel Passey. I wish them all the best of luck in this new venture.”
The Activity Den offers Pay What You Can to allow anyone wanting to take part to benefit.
