Last Monday, Philip Davies MP hosted a breakfast at Shipley Golf Club for a diverse range of businesses across the Shipley constituency.
Mark Casci, Head of Business Representation and Policy at West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce was the guest speaker. Mark has a long history of working within Yorkshire and before joining North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce he worked for the Yorkshire Post in a variety of roles ranging from Rural Affairs Correspondent to Head of Business and Features. Mark answered questions from attendees on a range of subjects including levelling up, transport in the North, Bradford’s Clean Air Zone, the upcoming budget, apprenticeships, Bradford 2025 City of Culture and the economic challenges facing businesses in Shipley.
Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to see so many local businesses at the event and it was great to discuss politics and local concerns with all those who attended. I want to say a massive thank you to our guest speaker Mark, who put together a brilliant speech about anecdotes from his career and his current role within the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. I also want to say a huge thank you to the sponsor Barclays and the local businesses Illingworth McNair and The Partline Group who supplied pens and pads for the event. Thank you also to Shipley Golf Club who provided a great setting for the event.”
