Northcliffe Park in Saltaire has been nominated for an award searching for the UK’s best park.
The park, which boasts a children’s play area, tennis courts, crown green bowling, sports pitches, and a miniature railway is one of 14 successful finalists from Yorkshire and Humber.
Fields in Trust protect outdoor space for sport and recreation and are running the UK’s Best Park, as voted by YOU! 2016 Award.
Shipley MP Philip Davies said: “I am delighted Northcliffe Park has been nominated and described as “absolutely perfect”. We are the only park across the district to have been nominated and I hope everyone will log on and vote. It is a fantastic area with something for everyone to enjoy and it is right it is recognised. Our open green areas are so important and we must do everything we can to preserve and treasure them. ”
Last year more than 10,000 votes were cast and Telford Park in Shropshire was named winner.
Voting closes at 5pm on November 9. To vote visit http://www.fieldsintrust.org/bestpark/nominations
