Scope of the inquiry

The Committee has agreed that it will hold hearings in the autumn to take evidence relating to the crisis at Bury, and the role of the EFL and the FA in safeguarding the long-term interests of clubs. The Committee will also inquire into what needs to be done to strengthen football governance rules in this regard.

The Committee plan to hold a session on this subject when Parliament returns.

The Committee have agreed to accept written evidence as part of its inquiry into the Administration of Football Clubs by the 30th September.
