Now Britain's even lending China the cash to plant trees
The Luxembourg-based European Investment Bank has lent China £210million to kick-start a project to help the country grow forests to compensate for its contribution to global warming. Britain has agreed to underwrite the loan, which will cost British taxpayers more than £30million.

Official figures show that in 2010/11 £1million was paid in jobseekers' allowance to people who have gone to another European country. The jobless have taken advantage of rules that state they can continue claiming dole for up to three months as long as they are "looking for work."

Criminals not sent to jail is "shocking"
An answer to Parliamentary questions submitted by Philip Davies revealed two sexual offenders with criminal histories spanning 30 years were not sent to jail for failing to comply with the sex offenders register. Mr. Davies has condemned sentences for these and other sex offenders as "soft."

The Government passed a law that requires alcohol to be sold for a minimum 40p per unit. Tory backbenchers, including Philip Davies, blasted the new law because they believe it would hurt moderate drinkers instead of stemming rowdy teen drinking.

Daily Express victory as £1.6bn aid to India is set to be scrapped
International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell hinted that aid to India will end by 2015. The Daily Express hailed the news as a victory for their campaign to stop aid to India, while backbencher Tory MPs are still upset that the Government does not stop aid immediately.
